The amazing book that i read was The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong. This book is about a girl named Chloe Saunders, age 15, who can see ghosts. She didn't really know it until one day a rather violent ghost "haunts" her. Chloe, thinking that the man that is "melting" is real, goes frantic, and gets her sent to a home for "crazy kids", Lyle House. There she discovers that she doesn't have Schizophrenia, but has a special power. She gets together with others not like her, but with "superpowers" and learns about what she is, and what she must do to help.
I really loved this book. Yes, i did finish it, and if you read the book, there's a sequel to it. (The Awakening) I loved this book because how it makes it so you just have to know what happens next. Also, you want to know if Chloe will ever go back to her normal life, and if she actually is crazy. The excitment and the mystery will keep a reader...well, reading.
Discussion Question: Have you ever seen a ghost before? And yes, you actually have to BELIEVE you've SEEN one.
I have never seen a ghost before, but sometimes I do think they exist. I work at Polly's Pancake Parlor, and when we hear a strange noise, or something falls for some reason, we all believe it's the ghost of Polly showing her disapproval in what we're doing. =)
ReplyDeleteNope...I have yet to see a ghost but I do sometimes enjoy reading about them. One book that gave me the willies was Ghost: Investigating the Other Side by Katherine Ramsland :^)
